How domain transfer works

Most transfers finish within 5–7 days. Start at your current registrar, then complete the order here.

  1. Unlock the domain

In your current registrar panel, remove transfer lock and confirm the admin email is correct.

  2. Get the EPP code

Request the auth code (EPP) from your registrar. You will paste it during checkout.

  3. Submit the transfer

Search your domain above, add transfer to cart, and pay the listed fee for your extension.

  4. Point DNS (optional)

After approval, update nameservers if you host the site or email with TurboHost. We can help by ticket.

FAQ

Common questions about moving a domain to TurboHost.

How to transfer my domain to TurboHost?

Check with your current provider to confirm your domain is unlocked and find your EPP transfer code. Return to our website, enter the domain you want to transfer, and follow the step-by-step instructions.

What is an EPP or auth code?

A one-time password your current registrar gives you to authorize the move. It is usually shown in the domain settings panel or sent by email.

How long does a domain transfer take?

Most gTLDs (.com, .net, .org) complete in 5–7 days after you approve the transfer email. Some country extensions can take longer.

My transfer failed. What should I check?

Confirm the domain is unlocked, the EPP code is current, the admin email matches WHOIS, and the domain is older than 60 days since registration or last transfer.

I registered a domain on another platform, but I would like to host my website on TurboHost. Is it possible?

Yes. Transfer the domain or only update nameservers to point to TurboHost hosting. Open a ticket if you want help with DNS.

Will my email stop working during the transfer?

Not if you keep the same MX records. If you move mail to TurboHost, plan the DNS change and we can help migrate mailboxes.
